To show gratitude for our corporate and foundation partners’ long-term support, the second “Plan International Hong Kong Partner Awards Ceremony” was successfully held on 25th August 2023. The ceremony was to recognise the support and contributions of corporates and foundations in advancing children’s rights and equality for girls. Four awards were presented in the ceremony, including “Annual Diamond Partner”, “Annual Gold Partner” “Annual Platinum Partner” and “Annual Partner”. Ms. June Leung, our Board Chair officiated the Ceremony with an opening speech, Mr. Ralph Szeto and Ms. Sylvene Fong, our board members; and Dr. Kanie Siu, our Chief Executive Officer shared our achievements and presented the awards to 25 representatives.

Thanks to Corporates and Foundations’ Generous Contributions

In her opening remarks, Ms. June Leung expressed that Plan International Hong Kong is grateful to have corporates’ and foundations’ benevolent support, which enabled us to carry out different projects globally and locally, and provide comprehensive and ample assistance to children and girls in need for overcoming various challenges. She hoped that our corporate and foundation partners would continue partnering with us in the future so that more children can thrive and rewrite their destinies with knowledge.

Dr. Kanie Siu also reviewed the fruitful work and impacts brought by the generous support from corporates and foundations that allowed Plan International Hong Kong to carry out several successful fundraising events and gather resources for implementing educational programmes and anti-child marriage projects and responding to climate change in developing countries. She continued that in recent years, climate disasters, conflicts, and epidemics have become more frequent, further threatening girls’ rights. She expressed gratitude to have partners with the same ambitions for advancing girls’ rights so that more underprivileged girls can be protected from threats such as child marriage and sexual violence and live a splendid life.
