Assistant Communications Officer, Donor Engagement

OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE:

Responsible for managing the organisation’s donor engagement journey to facilitate the achievement of the donor engagement goal:

  • Producing donor communication materials to enhance donor’s understanding of fund use.
  • Delivering the donor-centric engagement journey and executing both online and offline touchpoints to inspire and retain donors.
  • Coordinating the translation and logistics aspects of sponsorship and donor communications.
  • Assisting in the implementation of donor engagement activities.

PRINCIPAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute engagement touchpoints, including but not limited to producing written communication materials, developing and dispatching donor eDM, editing videos, and delivering donor engagement campaigns such as cheer cards and Annual Donation Receipt pack, to enhance the donor’s understanding of PIHK values and fund use.
  • Translate and support the delivery of sponsorship communications materials such as children’s letters, the Annual Review of the Programme Area Overview (PAO), and Programme Area Update (PAU) reports.
  • Understand the donor segments and devise personalised communications and channels to enhance engagement and interactions.
  • Coordinate and organise online and offline donor engagement events such as donor trips and donor gatherings.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION:

  • University Degree in Communications, Translation, Journalism or related disciplines

KNOWLEDGE / JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in communications and copywriting
  • Excellent written Chinese and English Skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of graphic software or experience in digital marketing is an advantage
  • Knowledge in content development, publications and video production
  • Occasional travel is required
