Since 2016, Plan International has organized Girls Takeover across the globe that aims to give girls and young women the chance to take on decision-making and leadership roles which they are less familiar with. Through the campaign, they can display their powers and talents while advocating the rights other girls deserved and making lasting changes on political, economic and social level. Up to 2023, over 6,200 young women have participated in this campaign globally to advocate gender equality and encourage girls to create the full lives they dream of.
