Senior Partnership Officer

PRINCIPAL ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

This position is under the supervision of the Unit Head of Institutional Fundraising and Partnership Department. The functions of this role are:

  • To solicit grant givings from corporates, foundations and institutional donors in order to support the organization’s development.
  • To maintain relationships with our potential and existing donors
  • To perform quality programme management

PRINCIPAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify suitable funding opportunities from corporates, foundations or institutional donors for Plan International Hong Kong’s local and overseas programme
  • Develop concept papers and donor proposals for funding applications
  • Liaise with the country offices to ensure an efficient and impactful programme design, desired outcomes and monitoring and evaluation system in all project proposals
  • Undertake timely and quality reporting for donors with close collaboration with Plan’s country offices
  • Undertake routine project monitoring for our funded programmes to ensure ongoing project excellence, governance and impact
  • Cultivate and maintain good working relationships with potential or existing corporates, foundations and institutional donors
  • Support the handling of the grant finance adhering to Plan’s policy and procedure if necessary
  • Support the department to develop the strategic plan and annual plan
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

KNOWLEDGE / JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

  • A Recognized degree in development studies or relevant social science discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of solid programme and project management experience in INGO, and preferably for children development programmes
  • Extensive working experience in child protection, safe schools, youth economic employment or inclusive quality education is preferable
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and/or grant making experience is preferable
  • Working experience on soliciting funding from corporates, foundations and institutional funds is preferable
  • Have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin and Cantonese)
  • English requirement – Preferable with Grade C or above in HKCEE (Syl. B) / 7 or above in IELTS

  • Maintain an awareness of political, gender and cultural sensitivities in strategic thinking and programming
